Kalea arrived in Hawaii in January 2006 at the young age of five (5) months old. and spent her first 120 days in Hawaii at the Bar-King Kennels, Quarantine Substation, on the Big Island. While her boarding was very restrictive, Kalea was showered with daily human attention and affection from the great kennel staff . Their daily care and kindness helped cultivate Kalea's loving and playful termperment. Dennis and I visited her daily until she completed her quarantine requirement. Kalea brings so much delight to our household, and she approaches all with a trusting heart. Kalea is both a beautiful example of the Sheltie breed and an outstanding athlete.
